Stephanie Rose Wood

My good friend Stephanie has finally gotten herself a Flickr account, she was kind enough to document some of our shows in Cornwall last year, including one of our worst ever gigs at the Tap Room in Falmouth, great for cocktails, bad for music...

Anyway you can check out her photostream by clicking HERE, it makes me long for those amazing Falmouth evenings when TESCO has run out of disposable barbeques, and there is all the time in the world.

The Under The Pier Show

Recently visited the absolutely fantastic 'Under The Pier Show' in Southwold, a manic and brilliant creation by Tim Hunkin, get down there if you have half a chance, you won't regret it....

NEW NEW NEW

Finally stumped up the money for a new guitar, it arrives on wednesday and will (hopefully) look like this:

Hopefully this investment will encourage me to start playing live in Norwich, just need to polish up the new songs, current working titles include:

'When will you open your arms?'
'Only Eyes'
'The World's A Better Place Tonight'
'All I Can Do Is Apologise To You'

....looking at them now they're all quite long titles, i'll have em up here soon.

In other news: Andrew Bird and Empties

And i've started twittering.

January for slkl...

I'd give 2009 a 7/10 so far, which is pretty good going I suppose.

I'm in Norwich now, which is really great actually, a bit like a Truro-sized version of Falmouth; cobbled streets swarming with scarf wearing-bike riding-art students, the upper middle classes frequenting more delis than you can shake a freshly cooked, locally sourced organic french stick at...and plenty of young beardy folkies, which is comforting, and worrying, just like starting over.

Myself and Charlotte returned to the old country for much hugging/drinking/catching up which was amazingly relaxing, like returning home.

We also got some recording done...

Really productive in the end, and a lot of fun, philip put himself out for us again, and got ill in the process, so big thanks to him, you'll get what's coming to you, you lovely german man.

We're getting there slowly....

So we returned to Norwich to search for a place to live...cue weeks of stress and worry and deciding to pack it all in and live in a hole in the ground or something, then this place turned up:

..which i'll talk about another time.
